About the Home

Anchor Home, established in 1986 as Anchor’s very first group home, provides a stable and supportive environment in the heart of the Niagara region. Located in Grimsby, Ontario, the home supports eight residents with a range of abilities. Despite their differences, these men and women complement each other’s personalities and strengths beautifully. Our residents receive 24/7 support in all activities of daily living.

Life at Anchor Home is active and enriching, with opportunities for Bible study, crafts, music band, workshops, catechism instruction, bowling, swimming, story hour, library visits, and helping with household chores. Dedicated volunteers play a vital role in making these programs possible, and staff continually explore new ways to keep residents engaged and thriving.

 

Over the years, several residents have also contributed to the broader community through work or volunteer roles at car dealerships, greenhouses, and paper routes—reflecting Anchor Home’s commitment to fostering purpose, connection, and personal growth.
